S2044 and S2045 into Law

Our two bills - S2044 (Deaf Students Bill of Rights) and S2045 (Language Acquisition-LEADK) were signed into LAW on August 5, 2019 by Acting Governor Sheila Oliver.

Our two bills - S2044 (Deaf Students Bill of Rights) and S2045 (Language Acquisition-LEADK) were passed by unanimous margin - 39-0!! It was quick and fast. Senators did not call out their vote like "Aye" or "Nay". It was all done electronically with a push of a button. Both bills were passed in less than 2 minutes.
Please note that our two bills on the Assembly side (A1893 & A1896) will not be voted on the floor until February or March.
