29th Biennial State Conference
"Access, Representation, and Empowerment"

New Jersey Association of the Deaf, Inc. (NJAD) will host its 29th Bi-Annual State Conference on Saturday, October 25, 2025 starting at 9:00am to 5:00pm at Stockton University, Campus Center - Meeting Room #15; 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ 08205. It’s only few miles to Atlantic City.

Our conference theme is “Access, Representation and Empowerment”.

Access: Ensuring access (e.g. interpreters, captions, assistive technology, senior citizen housing, transportation, preventing language deprivation, and access to mental health supports)

​

Representation: Advocating for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind voices in leadership and decision-making

​​

Empowerment: Supporting self-advocacy and community leadership

The conference will have three (3) workshops, exhibition, lunch/award and general meeting with bylaw potential amendments and election for the new officers.  The interpreters will be provided. 

For general meeting in the afternoon, anyone can come in for free at the meeting room #15 only at 1:00pm (not before).  If you haven’t joined the membership, you can still pay the membership due at the meeting room #15.  With membership, you will be able to make the motions and vote.

Also, pre-conference Deaf Night Out with NAD Region 1 Representative Jacob Leffler on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 4:00pm at Tailgaters Sports Barb& Grilled, 337 W. White Horse Pike, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215.  

Free admission. NJAD will provide free appetizers only.  You are responsible for meals and beverages.
